Ray Walston Ray Walston (December 2, 1914 - January 1, 2001), USA actor, born within New Orleans, Louisiana. His television roles included a title character on the situation comedy My Favorite Martian.

He tended to play characters that can safely exist when described as "curmudgeonly". His Martian illustrated that characterization swell, constantly ridiculing a primitivism of the globe's world, an attitude exacerbated by his inability to fix his space vehicle. His forced earthbound being clearly seemed such as the Martian version of Purgatory to him... an ironic comparison, when his 1st major role inside Damn Yankees was an especially "devilish" character.

His credits include: Early Bird Special (2001) My Favorite Martian (1999) Star Trek: The Next Generation & Star Trek: Voyager (Cameos as the character Boothby) House Arrest (1996) The Stand (1994) Of Mice and Men (1992) Picket Fences (1992-1996) (TV series) O.C. and Stiggs Johnny Dangerously (1994} Private School (1983) Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982) Popeye (1980) The Sting (1973) My Favorite Martian (1963-1966) (TV series) Damn Yankees! (1958) South Pacific'' (1958)
